Paul performs, records and teaches in the New York area. He currently resides in Tuckahoe, NY. Performing both public engagements as well as private events. Paul performs solo piano, and with a number of groups and musical projects in addition to the Paul Connors Band.
As a recording session musician for the past 20 years, Paul has recorded with a number of established artists, such as Melissa Reaves, Michael Powers, The 4th Floor, and the The Hip Pocket Band. Paul has composed jingles and sound design spots for Nike, Banana Boat, and the MSG Network.
Paul has a deep understanding and love for a wide variety of musical styles and genres. In his 20 years of experience as a performer for private events in the New York Metro area, Paul has a vast knowledge of the nature of a wide variety of events, and works closely with his clients to realize their vision of an event with his musical and event expertise.
Paul's band is comprised of equally seasoned and accomplished musicians, all of whom have worked with top name acts and Broadway. Whether an event calls for a solo piano, a pianist and vocalist duo, a jazz trio, or a dance band, the musicians are completely versed in the style and genre, in addition to experience in how to engage with the guests, or to simply provide a beautiful backdrop. Some of the artists that Paul and his band have worked with include The Temptations, The Four Tops, Mandy Moore, Billy Joel, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Jewel, McCoy Tyner, Ron Carter, Vernon Reid, Stephen Stills, Broadway's "Hairspray", Percy Sledge, George Benson, Art Garfunkel, Cornelius Bumpus, Jimmy Vivino, Jeffrey Gaines, Joshua Radin, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Duke Robillard, Sue Foley, Debbie Davies, and Jimmy Buffet.

Paul has earned a master of arts, summa cum laude, in music education from NYU, where he was a Centennial fellow. He has returned twice as an alum to speak to NYU undergraduate and graduate performing arts and education majors in a Music Business class on his own experience as a freelance musician, as well as how he went about building his businesses as both bandleader and educator.
